Look in your phone book to see if there are any costume shops in your area. Some may sell theatrical makeup as well as rent costumes. Usually these are found in the larger cities, but some smaller localities have them as well. Some party stores occasionally rent costumes.

Call any local community theaters or university theaters and ask to speak to the head of their costume department. Ask if they rent costumes to the public or whether they know of local shops that rent costumes.
